CORONAVIRUS

AS THE CURRENT GOVERNMENT ADVICE IS THAT COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE CURTAILED,

THE DELPHI DANCE CLUB HAS CANCELLED ALL CLASSES AND PUBLIC DANCES UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

NEW VENUE

Because the Delphi Diesel factory has now closed, the Ballroom Dance Club is investigating alternative premises.  When the Covid19 clears up then the Committee can finally decide on a suitable and convenient site.  This may take until the New Year before dance tuition can commence again. All members will be kept informed.

The Sudbury Delphi Ballroom Dance Club operates in the Delphi Centre which used to be Delphi Diesel Systems social club but is now run by a not for profit user group. The club has the use of the main ballroom for all instruction and social dancing.   The ballroom is one of the best within 30 miles. There is a Maple sprung dance floor, measuring about 10 metres by 20 metres, with seating in the ballroom for 120 persons. A lounge area attached to the ballroom provides seating for a further 60 and there is a fully licensed bar open at every event. On site parking is also available, with sufficient to cover any events, both in front and to the side of the main building. The club is an independent organisation with a committee elected by the members, membership is open to the general public.

FEES:  30 per person for three months plus 10 joining fee.  This covers one hour of  tuition a week, either Monday or Thursday evening, plus the opportunity to utilise the ballroom for an hour every Monday evening, from 8pm to 9pm for practice. It also entitles you to reduced entry to the monthly public dances arranged on the first Saturday of every month.
